Orthodontics fascinates growing and adult patients. It is a discipline capable of producing a real change in the mouth of the patient, aimed at obtaining a good chewing motion and a good smile through the use of orthodontic appliances. In the face of severe chewing defects, patients used to be told it "can not be done." Today, however, it "can be done" if the patient is willing to play their part and if the orthodontist has the conceptual tools to achieve objectives that used to be unattainable. Orthodontic corrections lead to results that often go beyond just teeth. They have positive implications for the patient's entire life.
